WIN 2000 Network Help

I brought my win 2k laptop home from work and was going to try and exchange files with my home network. I went in and changed if from my work domain to my home domian. I restarted and now it still asks me to NT network password by it says that no domain is available to validate it and it will not let me into win 2k. I've tried going into safe mode but it still asks me to log in. I've verified that the password is correct. Any ideas how I can get in? TIA
