Win 2000 + DSL PPPoE

Friend of mine wants to know how to set this up. I haven't used DSL ever, or used Dialup since Windows 95 so I don't know what to tell him.

He wants to do this in Windows 2000 but I guess the wizards are different or don't exist.

Any suggestions? Or links?

If he has an older modem he'd have to use a PPPoE client such as enternet 300. You can get it here http://www.egl.net/support/dsl/software.shtml .

If he has a router then use the router's PPPoE client. If he was a newer modem from his ISP it probably has an integrated PPPoE client. Windows 2000 doesn't come with a client installed like the link you showed for XP. Personally, I hate PPPoE software on the PC cause over time it can get fussy and stop working correctly. Best of luck.
