Win 2000 clean install?

O.K., I'm trying to do a clean install of Win 2000 without acpi. I've read about the F5 or F7 option when the F6 (load scsi or raid drivers) screen appears. The problem is that if I hit F5 or F7 and choose the HAL option I have no raid drivers and setup halts shortly after. (RAID 0 setup on my computer) If I install my drivers for RAID then I lose the option for HAL install. What are my options here, if any? Do I connect to IDE on board for the purpose of setup then switch to RAID afterward? Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

At the prompt press both F5 and F6. Worked for me. Do not be alarmed if it asksfor one before the other though. I think it asks for the HAL way before it asks for any additional drivers.

This goes out to Paulip88...Thank-you very, very, much for your suggestion. IT WORKED!!How did you come up with that idea? This forum is a wonderful tool.😀
