Win 10 changing digital license

Hope this question makes sense. I have 2 computers running Win 10. Computer A was upgraded to the free copy of Win 10 Pro from an OEM copy of Win 7. Computer B was upgraded to the free Win 10 Home edition by using a key from an old laptop.

At this point using the same computers, I would like to do a clean install of the Win 10 Pro on computer B and a clean install of the Win 10 Home edition on computer A. Basically, changing the versions of Win 10 from one computer to the other.

Is this possible, or will the digital license of each computer not allow for a change in hardware?

The digital licenses are tied to the hardware. Have you tried using the same Win 7 key, installing Win 10 Pro and activating it? May not work, but could be worth a try.

I would think you could use the Pro key and move down to Home edition. Hard to say though without just trying.

It may be possible, but I do not think it will be easy. You could still do fresh installs, and then possibly upgrade computer B to a pro license with an upgrade key / purchase.
