The Master prevails! 😎

Andy would have beaten anyone today except the greatest player ever. Unfortunately, for him, that's who he faced.

Go Roger! Get a few more Grand Slam titles.

Poor Andy, always the brides maid. At least it was a competitive game and he should be happy he went toe to toe with Federer.

WOOO! ROGER DOES IT AGAIN! TOLD YA RODDICK WAS TOAST!

wow man, 16-14 final set... kinda like 6-4 except for the 20 extra games lol

I'm very glad Federer got his much deserved 15th major; he deserves to be remembered as the greatest player tennis has ever seen.

What a choke by Roddick. To play that well and then lose on 4 unforced errors.

What? He played 30 5th set games against the greatest tennis player the world has ever seen. I wish I could 'choke' like that. I was rooting for Federer all the way but to not give Andy Roddick the highest of marks is just crazy.

I think Roddick let the difficult shadows tweak him a little bit. He seemed to be struggling to hang in there for them to pass, but ran out of time.

Look at Roddick's record against Federer. I'm surprised they didn't etch Federer's name on the winner's wall before the match began.

Anyone calling that a choke is already choking on something themselves. He didn't flinch in the entire 5th set, either up or down, but just ran out of some steam at the end.

True (2-19 now) but that sure was hella-annoying to see a 30-game 5th set and casually go into a pre-recorded celebration.

I remember a few years ago when ESPN would try to make it a rivalry between Federer and Roddick. I laughed when they try to and do it.

Federer owns Roddick. He only won once or twice against Roger and lost over a dozen other times.

History was made, wow what a beast. I'm pretty sure he's going to get at least 20 majors by the time he retires.

I doubt that. Federer wanted 15; I think he might play another year, but he knows the importance of going out on top. I think he'll top out at 17.

Not to mention he was NEVER broken. Except for the ONE time and that cost the championship.

Andy should have won, but didn't.

I called this matchup before wimbledon started, and the result. Had no idea that the final would be so close, and I can't imagine how it feels for Roddick (who has one major win.... 6 years ago) to get so close to having another and then losing it to the guy youve lost countless big matches to. Federer really has Roddicks number. I would bet, that had Federer not been playing these past years, Roddick would have more than a couple extra slam titles.

I only hope though, that Nadal plays at the US and Federer beats him. Otherwise I foresee people downplaying his accomplishments.
