If Walmart offered the minimum wage of $7.25 per hour in the Bakken area, it wouldn’t be able to staff its stores.

The trick is you better already have been living there.

I've read some people are paying $3,000 a month rent... just to park their RV in someone's driveway.

Seems crazy to do that when you could just buy a house for less than half. They don't have RV parks there?

fun times in an RV in January too. They typically have about R-10 insulation in the walls. Single pane glass. North Dakota will kick your ass in an RV.

I wouldn't live in Williston for triple that. Been there, and there is nothing to do and the weather sucks. Plus forget ever getting laid, not a lot of women in the oil fields so it's a total sausage fest. Like Alaska without the scenery.

same thing going on in the permian area in texas - midland/odessa. mcdonalds drives ppl from out of the area to work since everyone is working in oil/gas
