boo hoo hoo. Again, retail won't do anything unless they think profits are to be had.

Nope.

But this was a GREAT move by the company. Until this i have NEVER heard of them. They are getting a ton of free publicity by a short term ban of something that is a minor seller.

the cost of a few lost sales due to not having the pressure cooker outweigh the huge benefit of publicity.

This is actually a great business move. I will give them that.

the "respect" issue? LOL sure sure it is.

You had never heard of Williams-Sonoma?

Oh and I found another one: there's a women's semi-pro basketball team called the Boston Bombers; they're changing their name to the Bulldogs.

I figure it's only a matter of time before the few teams named the "Bombers" change their names. Washington already changed their NBA team's name from Bullets to Wizards.

Great how? I never thought of them before, now I think of them as stupid. When I see their product in a store I'm gonna laugh at how stupid that move was and avoid them.

At least this was done voluntarily. I'd be a lot more concerned if government moved to pull them from the shelves.

For realz?

nope never heard of them until now. they aren't around the area i live. i see they have some in the suburbs of chicago.

How many of you regularly cook with pressure cookers, or know someone who does? 🙄

I do as well; they are awesome for cooking beans, and you can cook something which normally takes 45 minutes to an hour in 15 minutes. You can cook potatoes and they come out so soft you can mash them without butter and yet still retain their taste, unlike boiling.

Any pressure cookers with military-style digital readouts and military-style latches should be considered "assault" and should be banned.

Mine makes a great "ker... chunk" noise when I lock it and has a plastic moulded grip in a tactical colour. Does that count? 😀

What about rucksacks? Has everyone stopped using those "out of respect"?

Who cares, they're only temporarily pulling them from MA and the Cranston, RI store. Of course, ATOT will cry about it.

So the terrorist have to wait a few more months before using a high quality brand pressure cooker? I think I would care -

Did these have the extended high capacity handles?

They can have my pressure cooker when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

When they outlaw pressure cookers only criminals will have them.

People are dumb.

Reminds me of a news series lately here, about Heroin and how it's coming back and responsible for so many deaths. So what does the reporter tell people to look out for? Spoons. Find a spoon in your kids room, and they are probably doing Heroin... sheesh.

Better stock up on spoons with your pressure cookers.

They're just getting ahead of the new pressure-cooker control bill that limits them to 8oz of cooking space, a vessel structure consisting of 90% consumer reused transarent plastic, and a limit of 1 purchase per month.
