What illegal immigrant would ever want to cross our open borders without the ability to purchase pressure cookers, even if they do pose imminent danger to our liberties and freedoms.

Is this going too far?

My thoughts: you can still order them online and there are better places to go for a pressure cooker than Williams-Sonoma. What's next, Home Depot pulling pipes from the plumbing department because attackers use pipe bombs? What do you all think?

I think you have a real problem letting businesses make their own policies, and you should never be allowed to hold any position of authority.

OMFG that's stupid. I was thinking they were exploding because of a defective latch or something.

Then pull them permanently.

Just to be clear. Retail stores do nothing unless they feel profits will be had. aka, pulling pressure cookers out of "respect" == let's create some warm fuzzies and get people to our store.

Well, they're not advertising the fact, it's the whiners that are publicizing it for them. Good job!

When pressure cookers are outlawed, only outlaws will have pressure cookers!

Won't SOMEONE please think of the children?

we need a pressure cooker registry and background checks when purchasing them.

Activision has also reacted swiftly to remove all copies of Pressure Cooker from store shelves. Simply because it was just a so-so video game.

Who cares?

Where I was going with my comment is that the reason for Williams-Sonoma pulling pressure cookers off the shelves is a lack of demand for them. However, I just read the OP's link, and it seems to be a silly kneejerk reaction to Boston.
