Will a 1.7 Celeron Willamette core able to work in an intel 845pe motherboard? I know that the 1.7 celeron is 478pins, but it also on a 0.18 micron process, will this affect the compatibility with the moherboard?

Why wouldn't it work? It's a socket 478 chip and the 845pe mobos were socket 478 boards.

the i845PE should work with all willamette and northwood core, 400 and 533 chips. Your cpu will work fine.
