Will you try out Wagglepop auctions?

I'm all about helping the little guy out. This is a service to be launched in about a week as an alternative to ebay. I've got a link to their forums which gives more info about their service.

Will you be participating?

If I have something to sell, I'll list on there since its free and if it doesnt sell, I'll turn to E(vil)Bay.

I prefer craigslist than either of them two.

how can you prefer craigslist to something that hasn't been launched yet? 😕

Well if he has something to get rid of today, I guess his preference would be the one that's working.

Also, if he's using something that works and ain't broke why change?

My bad, yes, for the small time seller, craigslist is perfect

ok. i was a member of another auction site like ebay, and it's been 3 years since i joined. the site is struggling to stay alive. they spam me daily with new incentives, but nothing is really that appealing (i was only active for a short period of time to purchase something that was a little cheaper than ebay at the time). i don't really think any auction site will take on ebay. even with pricing increases, ebay is the one and only auction site to find the rarest items and the like. ebay has good protection, provided you submit complaints within the allotted time period. it's kind of late to try to compete against them...

i dunno if it's too late. people shop at more than one store in real life. with a good marketing campaign there's still room for major competition with ebay. gooo free market!

It's that kind of mentality that brought microsoft where they are today. Linux and apple may not be as widespread as Microsoft, but they're trying, and that's the important thing. How can ebay get better if there's no competition? or vice versa. Someone's going to come out with a way to beat ebay. The challenge is preventing ebay from buying the company that outdoes them!

Maaybe because both ebay and craigslist can guarantee an audience while something not even launched has absolutely no track record, no community of users, can guarantee no body of buyers, etc., etc. Doesn't matter if the listing is free if no one comes to buy.......free isn't worth much at that point. That's why ebay and craigslist work.....an already established body of buyers.

Neither do you Dameon2004, but I'm willing to give you a chance 🙂

Remember if you list with Grumblebloop you're obligated to sell at whatever feeble price you can fetch from the 3 people who see your auction.

As opposed to eBay where 30,000 people who love to pay more than retail will see it.
