Will you still need me when I’m 64?

It is small in the scheme of things but on January 18th I will be 64. Considering I was diagosed with stage IV lung cancer six years ago I would consider this an epic achievement though.

Thank you science for the gift that is immunotherapy & thank you also for the Covid vaccine ! I get my 2nd dose Monday 🙂
Oh & thanks to all of you for putting up with me🙂

Friend of mine just passed her 11th year since being told she had lung cancer. They had to remove one lung at that time, but she's still chugging along.

It makes me so happy to hear, both that you are doing well and were able to get the vaccine. I don't post here very often anymore but I remember reading the thread about your diagnosis back when it first happened.

I hope you have a great birthday! (As great as we can have in these times at least)

Do we still need you? We'll need pictures of your elbows to be sure.

Congrats on the birthday and the achievement. I hope you're around to bother us for a long time to come 🙂

i love that song! i used to play a MIDI file of it on repeat for hours at a time.

Happy upcoming birthday!

Glad to hear it's been six years & you're doing well. We could all use you around for many years to come.

Nice to hear you're doing okay OP. 😉

I'll be 64 in 10 months and 1/3 of my life being a member of AnandTech forums in a few days.

Damn, we're old. I'll be 65 this year and trying to figure out Medicare. Before you know it we'll be in a nursing home with our VR gaming systems playing Battlefield 18 and COD 23 or SIMS 2030. Hell, we might even be in a coma hooked up to our gaming systems and looking for hot deals. And we'll still be beating those young whipper snappers on the internet.
