Bull, they are every bit as stable as Asus or any other board. Sometimes the problem lies with the one who set it up.

Gigabyte boards are fine, i've had 1 problem with them in the last 4 years of selling them, albiet in low quanities. Can't say the same about MSI, ECS, DFI or even Asus.

Total $500USD is it not? And that is just the BASE of the computer. We need a case, power supply, keyboard and mouse, cdrom drive, floppy drive, sound card, network card, monitor!, etc..


Oh, heh, sorry man but you did say she had a computer so I was thinking you would be canabilizing that box for parts. Anyway, to keep costs down I would get your OS, Monitor (local only), case, CD-ROM, CDRW'S and HDD's off Ebay. You can save a crap load of money that way (no offense to Newegg). Don't buy the HDD's used though...go for new only. I paid about $90 each for two 30GB 7200 Maxtors off Ebay about 8 months ago...this was when they were selling for $150 USD.

Is it just me or is that crazelogic pc NOT cheap. It looks like it comes with a TNT2 and if you want to upgrade to geforce3 they want you to pay $425!! I don't think cheap and P4 can ever be in the same sentence.
