I disagree that Baron Davis is more athletic...he might be a better dunker, but Jay Williams is faster and quicker IMO...

He sent a letter to the media last week asking them to call him Jay...of course there is that little trial in New Jersey and the idiot in Memphis with the same name...I think it was probably a wise move on his part!

Hey I am a New Yorker and I am still not a Knicks fan. I mean seriously WTF. Where do they get their players? Canada?

Sucks he has to change his name tho (if he really doesn't go by Jay until now). I think Baron is a better all-around player but I guess time will decide. :)

Whoever Jerry West picks will be damn good. He's the best at evaluating talent by far.

People are forgetting that in recent years there hasn't been a big guy like Ming who can actually make mid-range jumpers like he can. I mean, this dude seriously has the shooting touch of a guy a foot shorter than him. He may not be used as a big man down under. Rather, he'd be used as a mid-range jumper guy who will cause mis-matches. This of it: a 7'5" shooter. Who the hell is going to guard that??? Even if the centers on the opposing team want to come out and challenge his shots, that leaves the key open for back doors and such. But then again I think Yao will have a lot of trouble getting used to NBA caliber players. Yao is foul-prone which will cause a lot of trouble for him in the NBA.

And Baron Davis is better. UCLA pride, baby. =)

remember Manute Bol and all those top of the key three's he put up? He was crazy.

And I hate the knicks too, they stink.
