Will Xp let me install a new cpu w/o re-install?

I think my cpu has gone to the Intel burying ground. 🙂 If so, can I just replace my 3.2 chip with another 3.2 or higher chip and re-boot without getting so many error messages my heart suffers a bout of tachycardia arrhythmia? 🙂

What a pain....

Did I mention I hate computers? 🙂

Thanks,
Robert

Yes, you will have no problems. I changed out my processor and video card at the same time and was not asked to re-activate.

I don't think he meant anything about reactiviation, just if there will be any issues (such as if you were to switch motherboards and not reinstall).

Plus, how hard is it to activate? 🙂
