Is anyone else disappointed by World of Warcraft screenshots that have been released so far? The game won't be out for months, and some people will be playing it many years from now, but it looks like it's already lagging behind other games of it's genre. Compare it to Asheron's Call 2, which already supports the latest video card features, and will be periodically updated to support the latest and greatest hardware even after it ships. Don't get me wrong, Blizzard has some great artists on their team, but their 3D modelers and programmers really suck. Either that or they're trying to make the game playable on very low-end machines.

Blizzard has never been that good at doing fansy graphics but they have been able to make one of the best gameplay possible to get on the pc. Thats why I'm way more interested in buying world of warcraft than the next asherons call, expecialy since I have a bad taste since i bought dark ages of camelot:frown:
 
Come on, those are weak WOW pics. Post better ones next time. Check out ALL of the pics here. I think the game looks absolutely amazing. I like the fantasy motif they are going with(exaggerated color scheme).
 
2D art and landscapes look stunning in WoW, but everything 3D looks choppy. Some screenshots look very good simply because there are no characters in sight.
