Will WinXP MCE play games slower than WinXP Pro?

I'm assuming no playing or recording activity will be on at the same time as the gaming.

It would be better if you kept it separate :)
MCE is designed for HTPC(movies, tv, dvd, etc.)

Try Dual Boot O/S :)

I have MCE installed on my new 3000+ Venice cause I just wanted to try it out. I should install it on my old Athlon XP and try to get it to work with my Ti4200 AGP card. I think it does.

Should be the same if MCE isn't running.

I've noticed no difference on my MCE machine when playing Farcry or BF2, specs in sig.

I'm experiencing this odd "stall" that occurs on some servers(maps) playing UT2004 online. The screen will just freeze for 2-3 seconds and then it wakes up and I've been fragged. :(
I upgraded from an X300 to this X800 not just because of the stall, but I was curious if it would continue which it did. I suppose it could be a process or maybe my cheap PNY memory. I'm thinking of a slow buildup of software components to discover the cause. I don't want to just kill processes but instead simply rebuild the hard drive installation very slowly using another machine for my daily work. KVM, my friend! ;)

MCE is almost exactly the same as Pro, so there would be no difference
