Will we ever see Bush on trial?

You have to be on the loosing side o end upp in a trial. Arafat and Sharon are both guilty of killing civilians. Arafat even got the peace prize.
International courts like Haag have nothing to do with justice. Its a way to formally punnish someone you have beaten in a war...
There is not a snowballs chance in hell Bush will ber tried. The best thing that can come out of this is an american public that is more criticall about their political leadership.

Sadly, america has gone to war with unclear motivation before.
I recall some silly torpedo affair before vietnam.
In the early gulf war i have been told there were fabricated pitures of iraqi violations, though i have no hard facts here.

Of course some wars are necessary. I think the Gulf was such a war. But its weak not to be clear about motives when you represent a people.

Its also pretty interesting that Sadam started another war before the attack on kuwait. The war against iran in wich sadam recieved western support. Sadams weapons come from U.S and Russia. His nuclear program is French and his biowarefare program is German/American.
Ist not supprising people in the middle east dont trust U.S / Europe... And this makes it hard to transform iraq to a functioning democracy.

Pardon my spelling

We'd never allow ourselves to be embarrassed like that..well more embarrassed about Bush than we already are.

Hey martha another one of them fellows.
No, I'm not part of "this 9/11 conspiracy theorie" [sic] also, but hey, Martha, we got another one of them idiots who can't spell, write or puntuate worth jack sh8. 😛

At least, I document my posts with links to reasonable sources. If you're one of the 9/11 fringies, try doing the same instead of embarrasing your self with stupid name calling. 😛

Too late to save ourselves from the embarrasment Bush has caused the nation. The best we can do at this point is to attempt to redeem ourselves by proving that we're honest enough not to let him get away with his criminal actions, both under U.S. and international law. :|

As much as I'd love to see that comedy of errors play out, it'll never happen.

Never say never.

I'd love to eat those words, trust me.

And if you can't finish I'll be glad to help with the leftovers.

not to worry, you'll both be starving for quite a while.

Oh, I'm hungry to see bush get what's coming to him for his myriad crimes but I'm not starving. America is starving. For truth, justice, and "The American Way" -- because American voters were stupid enough to give george w. bush, the worst president in history, a republican congress that refuses to fulfill its role of oversight and, instead, just lets this madman keep going like that damn Eveready Bunny.

As someone earlier stated these things are cyclical barry.
One may certainly argue your point that a Democratic congress would have quote "controlled George better"...but the reality is the reason there was a republican president 2 terms running and a republican congress was a reaction to the poor job that the democrats did.
People got just as fed up with the Democrats as you are now with the republicans.
If in fact the republicans do not start shaping up in whats left of thier term we may well see a return to the Democrats and the cycle will start all over again.
incompetancy is not the itellectual property of any one political party.

Probably the smartest thing you've posted here 😉

I actually like the Cato Institute's solution, the system only REALLY seems to work when the President is from the minority party. That way the President and Congress really do provide a good check on each other, and you don't have a situation where Congress views themselves as a rubber stamp for "their" President...the situation we've had for the past 5 years (and the situation we'd probably have with Democrats as well).

My kids have noticed the older they get the smarter I get also😉

definte no
the white house admitted in a press conference going outside of the law by presidential order to combat terrorism with wire taps...if you look in article 2 of the constitution it basically says the president can't do that sort of thing without congressional approval....
so i think thats technically an impeachable offense...ya know...breaking the law

but it would hurt the country impeaching the president...so even people in congress opposed to him would most likely not try impeachment on those grounds (IMO)

Indeed. The Nazis would not have been put on trial if they had won WW II, the Inquisition wasn't questioned for what they did, and nor will Bush ever get into trouble for it.

my vote: "I oppose Bush but my answer is NO"

I would love to see bush judged for is actions... but I won't hold my breath on that 🙁

what exactly is point of this thread?? if anyone even thinks that there is even a remote possiblity that this will happen is seriously delusional and should seek some type of professional help...

but if it makes you feel better by agreeing to something this asinine, I guess more power to you...
