Will using the onboard graphics hurt my OC?

Hi!

i recently upgraded to 4770k (disregard signature, too lazy to update, whats the use?) and i have successfully found my max stable oc (86C max) at 4.4ghz with 1.175 volts. it did 4.5 at 1.2 but the temps were too high (using an h100, i might get better temps if i upgrade the thermal paste (its coolermaster nanofusion, came with the old motherboard that i used lol)

now the OC is quite stable, its not stable at 1.170 but a 0.005 does make it surprisingly stable (i've only ran an hour of test with OCCT linpack at 90% mem and all options below checked, it was stable and good to go)

i also run a 7850 and apparantly i've used two of the ports available on that thing (DVI+HDMI) now the only option that i have if i want another monitor is pluging it into the DVI/VGA port supplied by the motherboard

now i know that will use intel's graphics and i'm afraid that might somehow hurt the cpu

am i right/wrong? if so, what will you consider to be a better option? i don't have any slots left on the Vcard and i don't plan on upgrading the vcard anytime soon since it does its job quite well.
thanks for your help!

It will not hurt the CPU, but if you are really unlucky it might make your OC unstable. Since you seem to be just at the borderline.

But try and see.

Is there a way to disable the Igpu if you are not using it and will it make the cpu cooler?

If it's not used, it's disabled. Don't plug anything into it and it becomes dark silicon.

Don't you have to disable the igpu in the BIOS to assure it is disabled?

I dont know. This is confusing to me. I have a prebuilt Dell that came with a low end card, but I added a HD7770. Anyway, the vga port from the motherboard does not work. I tried it because I did not want to buy a HDMI cable to use two monitors, but there was no signal.

Is the IGP automatically disabled when you plug in a discrete card? Maybe Dell just disables it in the BIOS at the factory if a discrete card is installed?

Probably a BIOS option, although I'm not sure how configurable Dell BIOS's are now.

[Video] - Integrated/PCIe/Auto

Then also the options for the CPU itself, with Ivy there's about 3 options related to it.

But, it might be a limitation of the board itself, one or the other, no dual.
