Will UPS allow you to pick up a package at the destination center before a first delivery attempt is made?

I won't be here when UPS delivers a package tomorrow afternoon and it is coming via UPS Ground (no signature). So they'll likely leave it on the porch, but I won't be home til Sunday and I don't want it sitting outside all weekend.

Would they allow me to pick it up tomorrow morning? It's already sitting at the destination center.

Well, if you call a UPS CSR, you'll get told no. If, on the other hand, you either know where the distrib. center is or have their phone number, and depending upon how "creative" you can be in your "story," you can probably pick it up.

I've done it a few times with UPS, FedEx, and Airborne Express.

They 'vedone it every time I've asked. You'll just have to call and find out. You will get a better answer that way.
