Will upgrading from Win98SE to WinME lose some of the features in WinME?

I heard that the FastBoot feature is disabled if you upgrade to WinME instead of clean installing WinME.

Would upgrading to WinME be the same as doing a clean install of WinME?

I recently installed Win ME over Win98 SE, with no problems at all. Win ME detected all my equipment. I had to adjust my mouse settings, but that was it. Win ME is much faster during bootup and shuts down now, compared to Win98 SE. All the current games (Unreal, Quake,etc) work on the ME version.

Is it worth it? My Win98SE version needed a refresh of all its files and I decided rather than reinstalling Win98SE, to try Windows ME.

Some people will wait and see if additional upgrades will be available late this year on Win ME. If you have an "old" operating system that needs the latest drivers, dlls, Win ME might be for you.

My system: Abit VT6X4 m.b., P3-600E flip @ 840MHz, 192 meg ram, Geforce2 MX (evga.com),Monster voodoo2,Golden orb, 6 case fans, 2 are metal Panaflos 120mm.
