Hey, I just purchased Call of Duty 2 and it's obviously not running as fast as Call Of Duty 1 did. My system specs are: pentium 4 2.8 processor, ati 9800 pro graphics card, and 1 gig of pc3200 ram. I was wondering if upgrading to 2 gigs of ram would make this game run faster. oh, i'm running and only want to run the game at 1024x768 with all of the graphics settings set on low.

any advice would help!

You should know now that your current GPU is choking w/ the game. To be honest, I have 1 gig of ram also...the game was sweet. Of course I was using an X850XT agp . AN upgrade of a new GPU and another gig of ram is inevitable.

Make sure you change under graphics options the "Rendering Method" to DirectX7.

that will speed you up a ton but with reduced image quality. It'll run great on your card in that mode.

Glad to help, and always remember, gameplay is always first, followed by graphics.

If you started using DX7 be sure to crank all of the other settings back up. I play at 1280x1024 4xAA max everything else with a 2100+/x800 Pro/1.5gb of ram.
