There was a very funny comment I read yesterday on a semi-serious site that Trump was going to fix everything by putting the trillion dollar stimulus toward infrastructure for autonomous cars and put everyone to work maintaining that system without the threat of getting $$$ college degrees. The fact it was posted by someone seemingly educated writing in coherent sentences was oddest part of that experience to me.

Thats funny. I heard someone on npr say that trump would ban autonomous driving semis so people could still do that job. lmao.

I imagine Trump has no idea about those in reality to begin with. But he'll keep saying he'll repair that out of thin air.

Actually I like the old precision manual machines, but most things are automated these days.

Have programmed a bit on and off since the early 80's myself, and a bit of design here and there.

I used to like my old spot where I did a lot of Aerospace R&D in coordination with Draper Labs, oh well.

The three of us in the Tool Shop we're deemed economically impractical by a Post Hole Digger from corporate HQ, over the protests of the Senior Engineers.

I used to build several of your Nav systems, bomber dude, but ya know that.
