should be fine, I see no reason why the X1600 couldn't drive that. Heck I had a GF2MX PCI running my viewsonic widescreen once when I had to RMA my X1900XT (came defective 🙁) it didn't look quite right because of analog connection and lack of GPU "oomph" but it still was at the right resolution.

As long as the CPU/GPU are powerful enough for the game (I don't see why they shouldn't be) and the game supports widescreen you should be fine.
