Will this work? Need Advice

I'm wanting to overhaul my current system, right now this is what I have.
P3 700Mhz. IBM 30GB HD
Pioneer Slot Load DVD, Plextor 12/10/32 Burner
SBLive Value Sound Card, Geforce2 GTS
Asus CUSL2 Mobo, 3DCool case

I was thinking of getting a P4 1.8Ghz and an Asus P4B266 mobo, with 256 or 512mb PC2100 DDR.
I'm also going to get a new HD. How does this sound so far?

I plan on keeping the video card for now, and keeping the DVD, Burner, and Sound card.

Also will my case still work for the new Mobo, since I have an Asus CUSL2 in there now?
And will I need to get a new Power Supply? I've been reading something about needing a new one for the P4.

You have to consider whether or not your current power supply has the correct leads coming out of it for the additional 12v requirements. I haven't installed too many p4s since AMD are such a better value but the few I did, I needed to upgrade the power supply to a nice branded unit with the additional connectors. As for the case itself, here again the ones I worked on needed some additional mounting pads to screw the CPU down to...the Asus P4T i once used had a special plate the you mount the MB to, then mounted the plate to the ATX case with a regular layout.

As for the other stuff it should all work..wanna sell your old stuff?
