I'm in the process of rebuilding my main system and since I'm installing a new OS, I figured I might just add some cache as well.

I have a z68 motherboard, so I know I can setup RST with Cache, but I'm wondering if this is the right drive to use. It's cheap ($64 at Microcenter AR), which is about what I expected to pay. The question is whether a 60GB drive will work. I believe that the Intel setup creates a 20GB or 60GB partition/drive, but I'm guessing that this 60GB will format into the 50s. Does that mean that I will have to set it up as a 20GB cache? that won't work for me.

thanks

Reviews seem to agree that RST isnt that great of a thing, and is mainly for the "set it and forget it crowd". If you're enough of an enthusiast to find this forum then you'd be much better served by a more typical SSD/HDD two drive solution.

I certainly echo your view on this subject.

if you have that much ram?.. do as the others have mentioned and use Fancycache by Romex to cache part of that ram.
