i want to upgrade my mobo, proc, and ram. i currently have a p3 700. my main concerns are cost and reliability. i want a good stable system capable of running multiple apps, but i don't want to spend more than about $200-300. i am currently happy with the rest of my components, and am running an ati radeon ve 7000 32mb ddr and a sound blaster audigy. i am not overclocking or gaming, just a lot of multitasking and working with audio & video. my questions are:

memory-should i go with corsair, or would another brand do? i found 2700 512mb at nwegg for $70 shipped.

combo-i found a combo at bzboys for a epox 8rda and athlon 2200 with shim and fan for about $212 shipped. if i did this, should i have it pretested for $10 more, and would they leave it assembled you think?

RAM - $70.00 - For Corsair PC2700!? You betcha.. Jump on that... Damn good stuff. 🙂
Mobo/Proc/HSF - $212 - Awesome deal !
Testing - I wouldn't unless it has some incentive for returns if there are problems... Save the $10.00, They might leave it assembled after testing, but I doubt it. Less chance of damage if everything is packaged individually.

I think $282.00 for basically a whole new system is a sweet deal and within your budget... That 2200+ and 512MB DDR should do very well for you...

Buy, buy, buy!!!!!
