Will this slow down air flow?

I want to put an intake 120mm fan which I ordered from my supplier (ordered 2 80mm fans as well, it was a waste to ship a $12 item alone so I brought the purchase to $22 instead. ) but my case does not have a way to put an intake fan right in front, unless I'd start cutting through thick metal and also plastic, and that would mean my AMD and asus logo would have to go.

I'm thinking of putting the fan on the side panel but right in the lower right corner where the front intake would usually be, but instead of blowing towards the back, it will blow against the other panel, but air has to go somewhere so it will cause an air flow, but I'm just wondering if this will make the airflow less powerful. I have no clue how fast the fan is, my supplier sucks for details, it only says "120mm fan" that's it. lol. If I were to put a duct to direct the air, would that help?

Just thought I'd add, my title makes it sound like I'm asking if it will slow down my current air flow, but I mean will it be slower than if it was on the front pointing towards the back instead of on the side pointing towards the other side.

i'm planning on doing that same thing, i dont know if it would be as efficent as if it were pointed in the front, but it will defineatly improve the case temps

Yep, and I'll probably add a 80mm one on top to exaust air, the CPU/PSU area is the hottest. I put my hand there and feel all the heat, so an extra fan to suck it upwards will help, hear rises so it will leave fast!

If there's room I might ad like 2 or 3 of those 120mm ones. Maybe 2 80mm ones on top. As you can tell, noise is not my concern. In fact, the louder the better. Once I bass the "ear protection required" barrier, I might just be able to block the snoring across the other wall.

best is to have air going in a straight line. intake front going straight to back exhaust. but thats kinda hard. simply pumping air into your case isn't bad, as long as you have other fans doing a decent job of exhausting. fans suck at fighting backpressure. u can't get em to easily force air into your case. u can look at the ghetto white case for example of adding fans to a cheesy case

i sliced away the thick front plastic and metal to put in the 92mm btw. its not all that hard if you have a dremil. the two side fans intake, front intake, top exhaust(higher potential rpm). all the intakes are stealth vantecs so they are relatively slow to begin with. psu has two fans so its air movement is decent. 2 60mm exhaust are off at the moment. all are connected to fanbus to lower noise.

the more fans you have, the less you have to care about neat airflow since you have fans feeding fresh air directly to your cpu/vidcard etc. atleast thats how i have it.
