I just acquired a new athlon 64 X2 4400 with a Biostar Mobo TForce 6100. Will this power supply work with this board or is it missing the appropriate power connector? Thanks All
That power supply has a 20 pin power connector and that board uses a 24 pin connector. It's possible it would still work fine assuming you used onboard video or a really low end video card. There are no PCI-express connectors and it probably wouldn't be enough power for a higher end system.
Many motherboards support a fallback to the 20pin standard if there's a sufficiently low demand for power. Physically the 20 pin connector will go into the 24pin header on the mobo, it'll be aligned to one side of the connector and 4 spots will be empty.
