...online video appears without a commercial preceding it?



I'm sure newer video cameras will auto insert commercials into your recordings so that before you watch video of your vacation on Maui you'll have to wait for the Progressive insurance ad to end.
 
Adblock does a good job of removing ads in YouTube videos as well as the ads that come up while you're watching TV episodes on certain networks' websites.

This. I never see ads on youtube videos. I'm actually stunned when I do see them on friend's computers. "Wait, wtf? Why is there an ad?"
 
Content sensitive ads might be interesting. Video tape grandpa playing with the kids ==> ads for estate planning.
 
Has anyone figured out how to get around the hulu ads? I just see a message telling me the ad isnt loading, but it still makes me wait. The wait is just as bad as the ad sometimes.
 
One of the reasons I use firefox over chrome is that the FF ablock extension blocks these ads whereas chrome's does not.

No, I do not want to watch a 30 second commercial so I can watch your stupid 1 minute video clip.

The worst is when they put commercials in front of movie trailers. You're putting a commercial in front of a commercial? Fuck you.
