Will this be sufficient cooling?

I'm planning on running a 1.2 233 Tbird that will be overclocked later in teh future (and I may get a new HS/F then). I was thinking about going w/ a ALPHA PAL 6035 with a 60 mm Panaflo (sp?) fan. Will this be sufficient cooling? The case will have 1 80 mm Panaflo and a 60 mm Panaflo in addition to the two on the whisper

depends on how big the case is. if it is tiny, then sure. if you have a larger mid-tower, then maybe. yes if you only surf the web and word process (yeah, that's likely... hahaha) no if you push it a lot.

it also kinda depends on the HD's you are using. my father's ibm drives tend to run REALLY hot. I'd say half of his cooling problem is the heat given off by his IBM's. the other half is a crappy case and fan setup.

you can treat the two fans on the whisper as one really nice fan. that said, you ARE putting the 80mm in front, right? if so, cool.

chances are that if the only fan mounts in your case are for those two fans, you have a pretty small case. in which...er...case (too many cases) you should be quite comfy.

Well, the case dimenions is: 17.25x7.25x19.25 (Link) The HD is going to be a IBM 60GB 7200 RPM, which I believe runs quite hot. The two things I want is, like many people, stability and quiet... I realized when I oc I'll probably have to give up the quiet part to a degree, but htats not for a year or two... Also, this thing will be packing a GeForce3, dunno about hte heat on that one.....

I think you'll probably be all right....you might want to consider a sanyo denki fan for the alpha....i think it might be a better compromise between quiet and cooling....unless you're really going to push the limits of overclocking you can keep the extra cooling to a minimum. You can always easily add a fan or two later if necessary.
