Trying to put together a Windows Home Server using existing parts from different machines. I also picked up a E2160 Intel processor for its lower power use than my existing 3.2 Ghz P4 processor.

I was hoping to use my existing Asus P5GD1 motherboard with the E2180.

I'm not too familiar with the newer DualCore and now Core2Duo processors. Will the processor work with the motherboard?

Probably not, I checked the CPU compatability calculator on the ASUS site and it only list's Celeron D's and Pentium 4's for that board
