Will there be a new iPod Touch with actual GPS builtin anytime soon?

No. Apple knows that you want it, and therefore will exclude it. They know that 99 out of 100 people will buy it anyway, and they don't need your money.

Honestly, I have no idea. Just look at how long it took for a radio to end up in an iPod.

Why? 95% of the GPS use on the iPhone is used on Google Maps, which requires a connection. Doesn't make sense on the iPod Touch. Why would someone buy an IPT only to have to buy the $99 navigation software to get offline maps? I don't think Apple would do that as it only hinges on people buying nav software... in which case you're better off getting a dedicated GPS.

LOL...Apple doesn't care about that.

Why would it need one? What do you want GPS for on a device that only has wifi?
