Are you talking about removing the stock chipset cooling solution? Don't do that, not on the 680i. It's adequate! Put the little fan on the chipset cooler if you need it, or something like this if you want extra chipset cooling:
I was going to replace the stock cooling fan on my evga 7959gt video card with the vf900.
but I heard that it is too big and will not work when using the evga 680i board.
