Will the winner be "Your President"?

I thought I would post this after reading an op-ed...

I won't be toting around a "Don't blame me, I voted for XXX" bumper sticker...regardless of who wins, Bush or Kerry, the victor will be MY PRESIDENT, and I will respect him and his office.

Gaard, please vault this 😉

After the BS the Dub pulled to get us involved with his excellent adventure in Iraq I seriously doubt that I could ever respect him. He may be my leader but I wouldn't feel proud about it.

No matter who wins, the winner will be my President.

However, I do reserve the right to openly criticize the President for any action I do not like, no matter who wins.

whoever wins he wont be my president 😛

if kerry wins I'll bitch about something he will do in the future and if bush wins I'll do the same, thats what everyone should do, question the leadership everywhere

Whoever wins, they better win fairly. Or else, I won't be calling them my President. I will refer to him as Mr. not President.

I don't really mind who wins, either way.

though no matter what happens, I'm holding Iowa and New Hamshire 100% responsible, for their failure to choose the right canidate during the primaries.

I may get fcuked, but I don't have to like it.

I do not and will not ever respect Bush as he has done nothing but destroy many of the foundations of this country. He is NOT my president.

And I hope that the person with the most votes actually wins this time.

Holding office doesn't automatically gain my respect. It's what one does in office that will gain my respect. If Bush wins, he'll still have a long way to go. If Kerry wins, it'll be a relatively blank slate.

About what I've expected to this point 🙂 Any other takers?
At what would someone who quotes Caligula expect?

Ah, but there google has lead you astray. while the first google link says "a favorite saying of Caligula", so was "bend over, boy".

Here's another google answer:

"Let them hate so long as they fear. - Lucius Accius - Roman tragic poet (170 BC) Believed to be a favorite saying of Caligula. Also translated as "let them hate us, so long as they fear us". Cicero said it. Seneca rebuked Cicero for saying it"

Same here.

My president would never lie to start an unnecessary war. My president would never put corporate profits above the citizen's wellbeing. My president would never sell out the environment and natural resources to industry.

Yeah Bush will still be the President, even if I despise his policies and feel he is leading the country off a steep cliff into Hell.

Well the Dub is your President so if you believed he did all those things then your President did do just what you said he wouldn't.

I didn't say he isn't the president, I said he isn't my president. The worst case is four more years, then he will spend the rest of his life regarded as one of the worst presidents in the last 100 years.

Only time will tell.

What, you think he'll be regarded as the worst president in the last 150 years?
