How will this work out?

  • They will stand all tests.

    Votes: 7 36.8%
  • They will be struck down by US Courts.

    Votes: 1 5.3%
  • They will be usurped by Federal Law.

    Votes: 1 5.3%
  • They will stand initially, but cause losses for those who backed them.

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • They will be withdrawn/repealed by the states before 2024.

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • They will stand, but not work out as hoped by the sponsors.

With the SCOTUS having gutted the Voting RIghts Act already, I don't see them being shot down by the courts.

That is going to take an act of Congress, like HR1 which is right now stalled by the Senate filibuster. So if you want to know when those voting restrictions will be shot down, it is at the precise moment the dems finally have the votes to end the filibuster.

Billions will be spent keeping the Progressives from passing legislation that the American people, brainwashed as they are, would give them irrefutable proof they should be electing Democrats. This will include bribes to Democrats in my opinion. We’ll get a progressive government only if Americans wake up.

SCTOUS is conservative court, only sections that are completely unconstitutional on its face will not survive the challenge. I suspect most of the laws will stand.

"Usurped by federal law"? As if States have the right to restrict voting rights on the basis of fear & lies.

It won’t be long and the Republicans will be justifying the assassination of non-Republican winners. Democracy itself is just not fair. What sane country would allow fools to elect people other than conservatives.

Several states have passed them or are working on them.

Options in Poll
They will stand all tests.

The courts have been packed with fascists. The state houses have been packed with fascists. The laws are being rewritten to prevent anyone who is not a fascist from voting.

This will end exactly the way it did last time fascists took over a government.

In 1945 the German cities were firebombed into the ground, the civilian population was slaughtered, and the state of Germany divided up by more responsible parties in the ROTW ( Rest Of The World ).

In 1945 the Japanese cities were burned off the face of the earth with nuclear fire. The firebombing and the nukes exterminated the Japanese civilian population. The government capitulated, and the ROTW rewrote the Japanese constitution for the pathetic survivors.

In 2030 the cities of the United States of America will be burned from the face of the planet. Nobody is going to bother rewriting the US constitution because there just is not going to be survivors. Besides, it was the government they voted into office.

"Kill Japs, Kill Japs, kill more Japs!" - Fleet Admiral William Federerick Halsey, United States Navy, 1945 ( https://www.google.com/search?q=kill+japs+kill+japs+kill+more+japs )

"Kill Americans, Kill Americans, kill more Americans!" - Fleet Admiral Liu Zhao, People's Republic of China, 2030 - on Aday, the United Nations invasion of the Americas to liberate the indigenous peoples and exterminate their evil oppressors

You do not think it happen that quickly? That is what the Japanese thought on Dec 7th, 1941.

Outside of a civil war, what will stop a fascist mafia America? Nothing. No-one has the military power to do shit. Hell, then we are depended on China actually coming to the rescue one way or the other.
And that is why you have to stomp this ongoing insurrection out. Hard. Not this limp dick "going away if we ask em nicely" strategy. There are no republicans left! Only fascist insurrectionists.

I'm probably more concerned about the Republicans who've announced their growing intentions to simply steal elections if they don't like the outcome.
Yes ... Like manufacturing "discrepancies" in Districts they don't like the turnout or the outcome. The court system will not allow legislatures to strike down properly cast ballots. But can (or will) the courts act quickly enough to correct election results altered by these actions? And then saying that the partisan State legislature would select the electors. They have already tried this in the last election, so expect to see MORE of it in all coming elections

The Republicans better watch the ratfuckery they are attempting...

Hilariously, in Republican states like Georgia and Florida, a lot of the laws they are changing are laws that were written to advantage Republicans based on historical voting patterns. The belief that Republicans now have a permanent advantage due to mail voting being downsized is questionable. It has frequently been Republican operatives leading mail voting drives in Southern states, and before 2020 the GOP frequently voted by mail at higher rates in those states than Democrats.

The GOP coalition trends older and more rural, two things that can make getting to the polls less convenient. The Democrats trend young and urban, which means even if the line at the poll is long, it’s not a 25 mile drive away – and when you’re 85 fucking years old maybe you can’t drive 25 miles anymore or find a ride to the polls.

There is an observable effect that just painting our democracy and voting system as "invalid", "rigged", "a disaster", "unfair" etc. This actually works to suppress votes. You actually see this in other countries, where if a minority or opposition party feel that the process is unfair, they frequently just stop voting. This will actually then cement the Republicans status as a failed party. If they are not already.

Another thing is if any of Trump’s coalition shifts are permanent, he has basically traded white, educated, suburban voters for less educated rural white voters. That sort of voter is historically a “lower propensity” voter, who will be harder to get to the polls consistently to begin with.

If you look back at the propaganda used in WWII, you will see extreme rhetoric was common. It was the dehumanization of entire races of people that allowed for the extermination of their civilian populations.

and make no mistake about it, that is exactly what happened. Bombing the Dresden rail yard with wildly inaccurate fire bombs that did next to no damage to rail facilities may have been sold to the bomber crews as a "military target". But let us not ignore those same fire bombs turned the entire city into a burning inferior that consumed the oxygen needed for mammalian life resulting in mass civilian extermination.

Many people focus on the nukes, but they ignore firebombing of Japanese cities. The firebombing in Tokyo exterminated 130,000 civilians in one night.

What makes you think WWIII will be any different? Fascism always turns to an enemy to blame its failures on. Eventually it runs out of domestic enemies to murder, out of Jews, immigrants, Asians, gays, and people who are different. Eventually fascism always starts wars that are forced to spiral into escalation to retain power.

Unless the slide into fascist government is changed, history is destined to repeat itself. There are no exceptions.

The last great wars were not won by moral superiority, or by military sophistication. They were won by exterminating the enemies civilian population. Lay all the frosting over the cruel truth you want after the fact, but that is what it was in the end. The only way to avoid said fate is to not to escalate the war to begin with. The problem is Fascist governments always escalate, and always lose due to their inherent corruption.

Look at 1930's Germany. Look at the demise of the Weimar republic. Look at the propaganda used by the Nazi's. Look at the delegitimization of elections. Look at the dehumanization of minorities. Look at the restrictions of who can vote. Recognize the republican party for what it has become.

That's all correct. That's how wars were won at that time.
Wars are fought with the weapons you have. It started with fists and sticks, and there has been a never ending progression ever since then. In world war II, civilian population was a valid target. It's only been in recent history that more precise methods have been employed.
On the world stage, you meet force with force. When attacked you don't protest, you don't boycott your attacker, you strike back. Ideally, you take out command and control, then degrade their ability to make war.
There is no such thing as fair war, nor is there a clean war. In any major conflict civilians die. We're at the point where limiting civilian causalities is a major consideration, but it will never outweigh winning.

None of which has anything to do with the topic at hand. You knew that, right? It's all scurrilous conspiracy theory mongering. It's the New Birtherism promulgated by the same set of perps. Five states vote almost entirely by mail, including my own. Drop boxes all over the place. Despite lies to the contrary, our elections are squeaky motherfucking clean. That's merely the truth.

Remember what would come up when you searched for "the big lie" a few years ago? The stuff about the Nazi's and all that?

Check out what shows up now:
https://www.google.com/search?q=the+big+lie
"Why Republicans won't walk away from the 'Big Lie ... - CNN"
"Opinion | The Big Lie has gotten so bad that even some ..."
"Trump's 'Big Lie' was bigger than just a stolen election - The ..."

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
-- Joseph Goebbels

The abyss stares up at you, and it is time to acknowledge the truth of what has become of America. Your truth means nothing when the right wing will happily embrace violence, intimidation, voter suppression, and election fraud* to embrace their "truth". We have already gone over the cliff, but as the fall has just begun people still delude themselves that they are not falling.

Double down on diversion. Belief in the whole stolen election routine is a lot less prevalent than you claim, because it's obvious bullshit. No, there was not massive fraud across at least 3 states. That didn't happen, and anybody with the sense God gave to gophers knows it didn't happen.

Those doubts are concentrated among Republicans, 70% of whom say they do not think Biden won enough votes to be president.

No, there was not massive fraud across at least 3 states.
The problem is a large number of people willing to use violence believe that it did. They are lead by fascists who have realized they would rather believe the lie then believe the truth.

Ugh. There's a huge gulf between the number of Trump humpers who claim Biden didn't win legitimately & the number willing to resort to violence. 74M people voted for Trump & only about 10K showed up for the insurrection. Of those, perhaps 1000 actually entered the Capitol. Many of those already have regrets, I'm sure.

If the voting assault stands then I guess the democrats and their minorities will just need to be more creative. For example, Sunday after church voting for Black folks might need to be rethought and reorganized. A major effort will need to be made by democrats to convince minorities, who are targeted by the voting assault, on how important their vote is. Just because one needs an ID for an absentee ballot or to drive further to find a ballot drop-off box should in itself not deter a voter from voting. With all of the new laws and restrictions, it still is legal to vote in the United States and in every state within, so if the assault on voting pisses you off then you need to get mad and fight them head to head at their own game. Get your ID, get your absentee ballot, find the dropbox, and if Sunday voting has been restricted then vote on the following Monday instead. If people can be convinced of what is at stake and how much their vote maters then democrats should be just fine. With or without the limits on voting it really comes down to the passion and determination of the voter to take part in the election.

We need 2 things. Suspend the filibuster for civil rights bills.
Start the Jan 6 hearings so they will conclude just before the election (2022)

That does sound good. However the Republicans could utilize another Democrat win by saying, the fact that the Democrats win again is proof enough that the Democrats were lying and were wrong that the new voting laws were racist.

Well, its not over yet

What a lying little weasel, using a racist constitutional provision to justify their new racist voting law. If anyone believes he was ignorant of that I have a bridge to sell them.
