Once more..proof that Applewhite is twice the quarterback that Chris Simms will ever be, bum leg or no.
Simms was only played because his daddy was named Phil and Mack Brown is using that to play him. It might be true that he can outplay Applewhite in practice, but in an actual game against a tough team...

Who knows, if only Simms would have dislocated his finger on the first play rather than after 4 turnovers then Texas would be playing Miami for the Championship in the Rose Bowl. Instead, they are going to be playing Washington in the Holiday Bowl. Same as last year..with Simms starting then as well. My, how the mighty have fallen.
So until Mack admits he is a sellout and that he should have played Applewhite. I am no longer a fan of the longhorns.
