There are members of this forum with opposing views who ignore me in order to maintain their Tea Party principles of one goal, take back America.

I'm not a tea Party member although I support what they are doing. I do not want the burden of buffering my delivery.

As you know, certain venues do require that buffering.

Most of the tea baggers I've seen reported do nothing more than spew hate for Obama and non-christians. In other words, they are just extreme GOP loudmouths. Also, I've seen quite a few who couldn't answer direct questions about their platform (outside of repeating Fox News stories).

Just curious, if you don't watch broadcast news, where do you get the information to base your opinions on?

Being a republican that is not very religious, I absolutely hate that they have tied themselves to religion. On issues alone, I am with them. It will be hard to completely elminate because to win a major election, they need all the votes that they can get.

Them? As supporters of the Republican Party, we are "them".

As it concerns the running of our party:

We can disagree, argue, call each other names, get pissed and even fist fight!

What we can't do is advocate anything that gives our enemy, Liberals/Democrats/Heathens, an advantage that would allow them to keep power on a long term basis.

This was pretty much the central point in my post until it was so spectacularly misunderstood.

There's a pretty straight-forward logical argument I laid out when you read between the lines and it's hard to question the soundness of it. In order to get the votes, there's really no other choice.

Less, IMO. It'll focus more fiscal issues, government control/intrusion, back room deals/Washington as usual, taxes etc.

Everybody seems so focused on Bailouts, Porkulus, HC, taxes etc I don't see anybody focusing on social issues these days. It's fallen out of the spotlight. Something pretty big would have to happen IMO to get it back in there.

They still need religious right to win, so I don't think they are going to be any less religious. I am sure it's going to be a big factor in primaries, and candidates who don't align with the base's religious agenda will be filtered out.
