Will the next AMD processor be a socket A chip?

From what I have heard it will be Socket A. This has been mentioned several times before here on AT and it is always stated that the new chips will be socket a.

Then, why some website said socket 462? What is the difference?

Throughbred and Barton will be SocketA, ClawHammer and SledgeHammer naturally will not.

SocketA IS Socket462.
Simply another name for it, they are one and the same.
