Nope. And it won't for Game of Thrones either.

Every Game of Thrones fan streaming the show at the same time still won't get anywhere remotely close to the average bandwidth that Netflix viewers are using.

Speaking of internet crash, what ever happened to Trump's promise of turning off the internet in the US? I would love to watch the level of carnage that would cause. Bet it would not last more than an hour before he realizes what he just did. Would also be interesting to see how the internet itself would handle that, ex: all the routers having to come back up, and renegotiate BGP etc. I don't think something of that magnitude has ever been done before. It would also be a wake up call to other countries/ISPs to have redundant routes/services such as DNS since right now the internet pretty much relies on the US to function. My guess is that if he did turn it off, it would be done at the ISP level, ex: ISPs would just block/turn off the DSLAMs and other "last mile" equipment. Essentially turn off, or simply just firewall it out. They'd probably be ordered to do it within a certain time period like 72 hours. So in reality the entire internet would probably never go down as he'd redact his order before they all do it, when he realizes all the stuff that stops working, like Twitter.

Ivanka told him Twitter runs on internet and he promptly shut up.

Game of Thromes made my Chromecast shit the bed half way through.

Watched the second half on the computer but it was stuttering a lot.

This is total BS.

Come on, you have to admit that the knockoff series Game of Thromes was awesome!
Can't wait to see HBOW say it is the #1 more pirated movie ever! :D

All joking aside, this show is just a blip in the grand scheme of bandwidth.

I wonder what kind of effect major events like the Olympics or elections have on the internet. I imagine there are more people streaming the Olympics than there are downloading a single TV show. I suppose I could be wrong though, GoT is quite popular. Torrents are also probably more heavy because people are downloading and uploading at same time.

I did notice that Comcrap jittered a few times during GOT last night. Like the old days, I automatically looked for the rabbit ears to adjust.

Streamed to my Chromecast via HBO Now without problems... that is until my server started downloading the episode at full speed. Oops.

wife watches it, but I found this episode to not be garbage. Was pretty good, and seems to be moving at a faster pace.
