Will the HR-05 SLI fit on a DS3?

What the topic says, I have a non-SLI board, but I can't use the normal HR-05 for my northbridge because of my ultra-120. I think I read somewhere that the SLI version would work and allow me to put a 80mm fan on the cooler facing away from the CPU as well, but any documentation I can find doesn't show any compatibility but for SLI boards.

Does anyone have this cooler and mobo, and know if it will work? Thanks
 
I have Thermalright 120 extreme on the DS3 (version 1.3) board. I also have the HR-05 chipset cooler.
I have installed the CPU cooler rotated by 90 degrees. So, the fan on the CPU cooler is at the bottom blowing air up through the CPU sink towards the intake fan of the PSU.
