I bought an Enlight 7237 just yesterday. I'm assuming all the stuff will fit in, however, like people have stated, it's the power supply you've got to worry about.

Buy a model without a power supply, then get yourself an Enermax 350 watt or 450 watt power supply. You'll be glad you did. I'm glad I did.

O, this system isn't for me, its for a friend. He wants to go with a 300W Deer - P4 Approved power supply.

Deer PS's are high quality, and they are the ones we use at work in our P4 cases, so far have sold 100-150 or so and no complaints.

Have that many people been brainwashed by Intel?
Why a P4? Haven't people learned anything from Rambus?

You don't necessarily need a 340W+ power supply. But it is a very good idea to use a good quality one.

Check out this thread for some real good info from Anand.

**not crapping** :)

Why would anyone build a P4 system now, when the new version of the chip (northwoods) will be out in not too long. If you're going to spend all that $$$ on a P4, at least wait until you can buy a motherboard that isn't already obsolete...

It is a thread crap, he didn't offer any alternate advice.

He just made an offhand comment, at least you gave an explanation of your reasoning.

When is the exact release date of Northwoord?, i thought it was still a few months away

Ignoring the thread crap....

The 7237 WILL NOT work. The 7237A4Z is what you need.

The regular 7237 power supply has no 12V 4 pin (although easily fixed with an adapter), no AUX power (that 8 pin thingy) and the back plane typically mounts the four stand off HSF mount (although there are alternatives to this type of HSF mount).

Might as well score a 7237A4Z for a few bucks more.

Again thank you for all of your help, and like I said, my friend wants me to build him a barebones type system and he said he wanted a P4, I decided to save my breath and just do what he said, either way I get some money out of it.

I am an AMD man personally, its cheaper...

Thanks again...
