Decided the Intel 330 240GB SSD at tigerdirect, $129 after $30 MIR was good enough deal for me but just checked and it's OOS. :(

Perhaps with so many consumer's being much more conscientious of prices since the 2008 govt failure debacle, been slimmer and slimmer profit margins all over as China pushes those kids to work faster and longer mimicking every product concievable....not much price left to cut on many products.

retailers think they have us wrapped around their finger and can offer whatever at BF and we shoppers will snap it up. unfortunately, I think they may be right. The mass hordes descended on BF like flies at a poop farm. This fly has pretty high standards for his poop though...

You should have seen the lines around here for just that $200 TV, it's insane and just to know that these chains usually have 1 - 2 TV's max

    same here.

i mean, i get it if its some family tradition. take the kids out, have them look for what they want and write it down so you can get it for them "from santa". thats fine. that can be a fun day.

but to go out as an adult to save money? its not the 90's anymore. stores arent using this holiday to turn red to black like they used to. they are already black before thanksgiving, and that friday is just another day. again, this market is nothing like it was 20 years ago. back then, stores would get huge shipments of stuff in for xmas, so the markups would be high and if they didnt sell it they would lose money- thats why you saw those 50-75% off deals.

these days, if you shopped only on BF instead of gradually throughout the years you might save 20% at best. nowhere even close worth waiting out in line all night.
