Astros just won again, 9-7. Their bats are hot! 🙂

Hey, DevilsAdvocate: 😛

😉

Looks like we are now just a 1/2 game behind the Cubs...

It is going to be the Astros or the Fish... too much momentum right now for both clubs.

Yeah, the Marlins are looking like they did last year, heating up in September and carrying it into the playoffs.

The poll says it all, Cubs win!! Cubs win!! Now create a poll for the Cubs winning the world series and the non existent curse will be lifted. 🙂

I agree. While I would like the Astros to win, I could definitely see the Marlins pulling it off in the end.

As you pointed out, I was wrong about the Astros' schedule. The Astros have six games left against teams with winning records, not six games left against just the Cardinals.

San Diego is 2 1/2 games back from the Cubs and has fourteen games left against winning record teams. I'm counting them out.

San Fransisco, 1/2 game back from the Cubs, has a fifteen games left against winning record teams. They lost to the Rockies last night, which should have been a gimmie.

The Cubs have nine games left against winning record teams: six with the Marlins, three with the Braves. They're playing .500-type baseball right now and don't seem to be improving. Anybody who thinks the Cubs will take the wildcard spot - especially after last night's game against the Expos - is just a dillusional fanboy.

Florida, is two games behind and has twelve games left against winning record teams: six against the Cubs, six against the Braves. They are doing so good in both pitching and hitting, though, I think they could win every game for the rest of the season. Their only major setback, however, is dealing with the Frances aftermath. They have to make up (I believe) four of their games in as many weeks. Double-headers could be their undoing.
