Will the 6800 Ultra work with my system?

Looking to upgrade my video card, and I have my eye on the 6800 Ultra. But was wondering if my system is getting too outdated to run this.

Here's my relevant specs:

GigaByte SINXP1394
P4 2.53b 533MhZ w/ Zalman CNSP7000-Cu HS/F
1 GB Mushkin Blue Dual Pack (512MBx2) DDR PC2700
Antec TruBlue 480W PSU

So will I be able to run this card smoothly, enough power, fast enough speeds, etc...?

I can OC this sytem if needed. I have had the FSB stable at 155 I think, but can't get it stable at 200. In about 3 months I plan to do a total upgrade/ new build to an Athlon 64 FX-53 and new mobo yet to be determined. Will also be upgrading RAM and PSU.

I'm running a 9700 pro now, but have the extra cash to blow on a high end vid card---if its a possibility to run in this sytem for a while until I can build it a new home. :)

So would this run in my year old, outdated system?

Thanks for your help and advice,

Mcurphy

Looks fine to me. Can your monitor handle running at 1600x1200 res?

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess my main concern was the bus speeds, but I wasn't sure how relevant they would be to my AGP bus. So it looks like I should be OK?

I would upgrade when you upgrade your computer. Could save a pretty penny by waiting till they are out in numbers and competition drives the prices down a little. Also you will have a bunch of guinea pigs that will let you know which cards give the most bang for the buck with overclocking.

Yeah, in about 3 months the 6800 should be cheaper and there is no reason to buy between now and then.
