There's a small hardware store across the street from me. The owner is seemingly always in a bad or at least a gruff mood. Never says a word, never looks at you, never smiles, grunts disapprovingly whenever you interact with him.
But he's still helpful, always does things quickly, and the location is convenient.
I'm not sure I want to go back there, though. Just on account of the guy's attitude. I don't want to sound like someone who requires everyone to be cheerful all the time but this guy is a real sourpuss.
Would you stop going to a place solely for the mood of the people working there, even if they do their jobs perfectly? Would it depend on the convenience, or the type of business it is? It's hard to resist just walking across the street if I need something small.
