Will replacing screen and digitizer fix pixelation and intermittent unresponsive

I recently got an iPhone 5S for cheap. screen has a small crack, but the main issue is that the screen is pixelated, and once in a while stops responding to my touch commands until i turn off the screen ,turn it on again and then i'm able to type.

Would getting a replacement screen and digitizer from ifixit do the job of repairing this? I'm planning on using it as a secondary phone.

Replacement screen + digitizer would probably work. I would suggest re-seating the connectors to see if that helps.

replaced the screen and everything works fine... except the touch ID now. I ripped the home button cable when opeining up the screen. I had to use a significant amount of force with the suction cup to pull the screen apart away from the back of the case.

had to buy a replacement home button but apparently you lose the touch id features forever... pissed off because i wanted to resell this damn thing.
