It seems as time passes, people are getting "smarter". When we compare how religious people are today to hundreds or even 50 years ago; it seems like religion is going down the drain quick.

The answer is no. For the same reason that religion exists now, it will continue to exist until the world ceases to exist.

it won't. Because once religion ceases, the ruthlessness of the godless would destroy the world. And I already know God will eventually destroy the world. So no, religion won't cease. But before the End, it will get pretty thin.

Probably something like "Do you believe in the POSSIBILITY of a higher power?" Then the testers turn around and say "OMFG 94% OF AMERICANS ARE CHRISTIAN JESUSFREAKS HURRAY!"
