Will Radeon 9600 xt drive dell 2005fpw native res?

I am looking at my old Radeon 9600 xt box at the listed display modes and do not see the 1680x1050 res that the 2005fpw runs at. I am a complete noob when it comes to widescreen lcds, actually any lcd. I have a crt at home and only just got a lcd at work in the last month.

I am trying to decide between the 2001 and the 2005. If I have to buy a new video card to drive the 2005 then I will go with the 2001.

I'm running a 9600XT and it works fine with my new 2005FPW so far. I'm running everything in native resolution, including WoW and HL2, and all looks good.

That is great!! How do you like the 2005fpw? Any buyers remorse on not getting 2001?

i have the 2005FPw . . . I LOVE IT!!

WIDESCREEN IS THE WAY TO GO!!

if you have money, you can get the 2405FPw, the 24" Widescreen that will be sub$1000 after coupons and stuff

1920x1200! :shocked:

Yes it should support it. However dont plan on playing games at decent framerate.

Thanks for the replies. In the end I decided to go with the 2001fp. The main thing I am supposed to be using the screen for is programming so the extra screen real estate is a good thing. Gaming is a bonus and the wide aspect would have been nice, but for all around use I thing the tried in true 4:3 is the way to go for me.

At least that is what I am telling myself since I already orderred it!
