Bush won by about 130,000 or more votes, thats a pretty big number. I dont know what the fight is about 😕

Let it be lib's. What the Demos did here(yes I said Demos) and in Wa is ridiculous. I'm surprised that there weren't other boxes of ballots found in a democratic county in Oh.

Centinel, I just want to make an observation before responding to your question. Maybe it is just me but your question seems to be only directed at Democrats and while I understand that they are the most vocal about Ohio I think you could have worded it a little better.

Now to answer your question. While I can sympathize with the Democrats in reguards to things like insufficient voting machines, provisional ballot problems, lack of a paper trail (on electronic voting machines) and even long lines, but none of these can be corrected by a simple recount. So yes I am satisfied with the results of the recount, but no I am not satisfied that that every person in Ohio (or the nation for that matter) can be happy with the Ohio election process. I think the only way anyone can truly be happy with the voting process (and not just the outcome) in Ohio is if there where none (or at least a lot less) of these problems to begin with.

I think a lot of people will never be happy about the Ohio election, but what troubles me the most is the appearance that the outcome was more important to these people than the process itself.

Honestly, what outcome would it take for you to be happy?
Elections again with no diebold and a real paper trail. And Nonpartisan Community volunteers to watch the polling stations.
(oh yeah and kerry growing a set of balls and telling it how it is but i don't expect that from mainstream democratic leadership)

Holding elections again might sound good, but there are problems with this also.

If a new election where to show that Bush still wins then it wouldn't make ALL Kerry supporters do an about face and be pleased with the outcome. Those that believe in a conspiract theory will just claim that it happened again (this time without being caught) or that Kerry really should have won the first time so the second election shouldn't count.

If it turned out that Kerry wins then Bush supporters will claim what the Kerry suporters claim now "that the election was stolen from them".

Either way people will not be "happy" with the outcome.

Personally I have to wonder if a new election would make things better or worse at this point.
