Will Oscar Listen? Fahrenheit 9/11 vs. Passion

'Fahrenheit 9/11' and 'The Passion' were the most electrifying movies of the year. Will Hollywood honor one?or snub the other?to make a point?

Text

My take: Everyone knows Hollywood and many extreme left-wing liberals have something in common: a hate for Bush and Jesus!

Where as the Republicans hate everybody else? Do you think the Jewish influence in Hollywood might have something to do with it?

The Passion was really a far more profound movie.

[p&n rant] And Farenheit 9/11 was really just a propaganda film. It's so full of outright lies. Watch FahrenHYPE 9/11 for the real story. [/ p&n rant]

Where's the poll option for, "Who gives a flying fsck? The Oscars have about as much credibility as the MTV movie awards. They're all narcissistic bastards IMO."

Just because you hate Bush doesn't mean you have to endorse 2 hours of lies.
Was the last Passion of Christ 2 hours long?

HA HA HA!

That wasn't even funny, Red. There is plenty of non-religious proof that Jesus existed and there is nothing in that movie that isn't already proven.

i wonder which movie made more money?

i wonder why?

if one movie made more money, i wonder if that means more people are interested in the subject of one vs. the other?

things that make you go "hmmm...."

libs would like americans to think that 90% of the country are godless amoral 'live for the moment' type peoples and that those that are more "traditional" in their viewpoints are a tiny minority. i don't think so.

p.s. i voted "both" , i would prefer the academy keep their noses out of politics/religion , so they should ignore both movies and stick with more traditional fare for their awards

Well at least according to you. Besides the Bible is there any other written documents that tell of the happenings on the last days of Jesus?

Many historians have studied the true history and proven that Jesus existed and those events took place. You don't have to believe in God or believe that Jesus was the son of God to accept that. I will concede that the satan part cannot be "proven" by historians...but The Passion was not a "documentary".

I thought the polar opposite movie was celcius 44.11.

Passion will get the shaft.

Fahrenheit 9/11 will likely win one major award. My money would be on Moore winning best Director.

Yes. I don't have them at my fingertips but if you are really interested there are plenty of references in a book called "The Case For Christ" that point to non-religious historian's accounts of that timeframe.

Eh, I suppose it was "The Greatest Story ever told". Besides the Bible is there any other written documentation that tells of the last fews days of Jesus? I've seen ail the Discovery Programs about it and the best they could do is say that it is possible.

Gross do not usually play a big part in which films win awards. I would not consider them relevant to your discussion in regards to these two films.
